Forum on mediation at the college of education for women

The department of sociology at the college of education for women has sponsored the proceedings of a forum on mediation as part of a series of its activities and events carried out with the aim to develop the skills of the students where the master students specialized in community rehabilitation and peace Afrah Khalifa gave lectures for the students of the second and third grade at the department. The aim of the activity is to explore the different concepts of mediation and to identify a common/integrated concept of mediation and to identify the role of the mediator in mediation. The student addressed different definitions of mediation and stressed that the interests of the parties prevail in a practical experience to reach a consensus formula to resolve the dispute of two parties after the intervention of the mediator.
