The lecturer Talib Faisal Shnawa, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Ali Shaboot Ibrahim and the Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Saleh Mahdi, from the college of physical education and sports sciences at the University of Baghdad have obtained a patent from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) for designing a device to rehabilitate joints and to qualify the elbow joint injury for weightlifting athletes.

The patent dealt with how to design and manufacture an innovative device and homemade tools, which works to rehabilitate injuries that occur to athletes and non-athletes, including injuries to the elbow joint, where the innovative device contributed effectively to the rehabilitation of the injury to the joint of the facility according to exercises prepared in the development of the motor tide of the joint and increase the ability of the joint to direct movement to qualify the athlete with all tools that help to return to exercise effectively. In turn, the deanship congratulated this outstanding scientific achievement and asserted its support to all efforts and initiatives that contribute to the development of the applied studies in various fields of sports.
