The Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the presidency of the University of Baghdad has sponsored an extensive workshop on launching graduate project competition for 2022 that will last for two days under the auspices of the ministry of higher education and scientific research, in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The workshop aimed to develop projects in industry and innovation to eliminate poverty, unemployment and gender equality, as well as to develop a project that will contribute to economic development towards creating a number of new jobs and assisting graduates to make the best choice in this regard. The workshop also dealt with pioneering projects that will compete in a national competition with 30 Iraqi universities after going through many stages. The winning project will be nominated for the second stage and, if it wins, will receive a grant from the GIZ German Development Agency. It is noteworthy that the University of Baghdad has won previously the first place in this competition due to its best project in labor market that is based on the employment of human resources.
