Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has inaugurated a new project of providing pure water at al-Jadriya Complex after the rehabilitation of 3 old pumps and adding two others by the staff of the Department of Diwan Affairs.

The director of the department of diwan affairs at the university’s presidency, the senior engineer Yasser Hazim stated in his speech that this project will provide the University of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain University (including 45 faculties, institutes an centers) with pure water after undertaking several purification processes of sediments and plankton by relying on 5 pumps with a force of 3 Bars and a up to 5 hours per pump per day, which will equip the university’s giant reservoirs with a capacity of 1300 cubic meters per tank. It is noteworthy that these pumps will start running within the coming weeks for the sake of watering green corridors and trees, as well as the stadiums at the university’s colleges. The opening up of this project was attended by the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad al-Ansari, the director of dormitories Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the director of media & public relations department at the university’s presidency, Assist. Lecturer Ibrahim al-Khazali and others.
