Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has concluded with his counterpart the rector of the University of Sulaimani, Prof. Dr. Ridha Hassan Hussein, a scientific cooperation agreement in a number of disciplines between the two sides through forming specialized committees to follow-up the latest developments related to the educational process in the country in addition to exchange of experiences and lecturers.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed during his speech that the University of Baghdad is open up to all academic institutions and is ready for any scientific coordination and twinning whose outputs contribute to the advancement of the educational movement towards improving the academic status of the Iraqi universities in global rankings. For his part, the rector of the University of Sulaimani stated that such initiatives would contribute to the refinement of experiences for both sides, stressing his continued support for the development of the learning process at the two universities. It is noteworthy that the delegation of the University of Baghdad included the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad al-Ansari, the dean of the college of physical education and sports sciences, Prof. Dr. Sabah Qassim Khalaf, as well as a number of members of the faculty’s council.
