The University of Baghdad has won the second place in a Chess Championship for Iraqi Universities sponsored and organized by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Body related to the Department of Student and Sports Activities at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that was held at the University of Technology. The participation of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering in this tournament has represented by one of the postgraduate student from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Mujtaba Manaf. It is noteworthy that this chess championship included the participation of more than 35 Iraqi public and private universities where the University of Baghdad got the second place and in this occasion the deanship expressed its pleasure for this new achievement and wishing the winners more excellence and a lasting success in the service of their college and our prestigious university.
