Professor from the college of medicine is selected as a contemporary Iraqi scientist by the Iraqi Medical Observatory

The Iraqi Medical Observatory has recently announced the selection of Dr. Jawad al-Diwan, the professor of epidemiology from the college of medicine at the University of Baghdad, as one of a constellation of the best contemporary Iraqi physicians. It is noteworthy that Dr. Jawad al-Diwan has many scientific contributions and activities in the Arab Board of Community Medicine where he was elected to be a member of the scientific council and managed the examination committee through the elections that involved the Arab world. He also worked on the inauguration and development of studies specialized in community medicine, including cancer investigation, clinical nutrition, mental health, senior medicine (Geriatrics) and occupational health, and served as editor-in-chief of the Iraq Medical Association Journal.
