The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad held it thirteenth conference under the slogan (Scientific research is an effective tool for the development of community), in the presence of the President’s Advisor for National Unity Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khudair al-Amara, and the scientific advisor to His Excellency the minister of higher education and scientific research, Prof. Dr. Musa Jawad al-Musawi, as well as the rector of the University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the assistant rector for administrative affairs Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad Jaber and head of the department of media and public relations, in addition to the deans of veterinary faculties in Iraqi universities and a large crowd of public figures, researchers and specialists.
The rector stressed that the university adopts a serious policy of encouraging scientific research and upgrading its level, pointing out that the conferences come to exchange local and international experiences and efforts have contributed to the entry of the University of Baghdad in sober international rankings. For his part, the dean of the college noted in his speech the importance of scientific research and the great attention paid by the college to researchers, addressing the importance of research to be of an applied nature, and expressed his pride and pride for the coincidence of the holding of this conference with the fourth anniversary of the great victory day in which Iraqis recorded the most wonderful forms of sacrifice in order to liberate Iraqi territory from the desecration of the terrorist entities. The president’s advisor then delivered a speech praising the importance of veterinary medicine for the preservation and development of livestock, after which a documentary produced by the Media and Public Relations Division at the college entitled (A year of excellence) that shed light on the most important achievements made by faculty member during the academic year (2020-2021).
