The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Baghdad held the 22nd International Symposium, entitled “Andalusian Literary Discourse between the Orientalists and the Moroccans”, in which a number of faculty professors from the University of Jordan and the University of Sharjah have also participated in.

The symposium dealt with the achievements presented by the professors of Andalusian literature in both the Levant and Morocco, through their great efforts, old and new, by revealing the missing of Andalusian literary heritage in public and private reservoirs, achieving them scientifically, spreading them in the hands of researchers and students, as well as revitalizing scientific studies that have been active in universities for decades, as well as showing the university roles that the Andalusian literary lesson went through, and the popularity of researchers in a number of Arab universities to specialize in Andalusian literature. The aim of the symposium was to shed light of a number of public figures specialized in the literature of Al-Andalus who had contributed in reviving the remaining sober Andalusian literary heritage to preserve its legacy until the current time.
