Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has visited the National Communications and Media Commission (CMC) and was received by the head of the commission Ali al-Muayyad. They have discussed ways of joint cooperation with regard to awareness campaigns, anti-drug awareness issues as well as the need for spreading the culture of health safety and preserving public health and community. Dr. Ali al-Muayyad has stressed the importance of the University of Baghdad’s role in developing treatments in its various scientific disciplines, noting the need to pay attention to scientific research along with sponsoring innovations and patents within the media, communications and information technology sectors in the fields of broadcasting and transmission. It is noteworthy that this visit was conducted in accordance with the university’s approach towards opening up to society and government institutions so as to exchange public benefit, disseminate knowledge and taking advantage of academic expertise in the labor market.
