The college of engineering has participated in the exhibition of scientific innovations at the University of Baghdad which was organized by the department of scientific care held at the national center for the care of the gifted of the ministry of youth and sports with the participation of professors and students from 25 Iraqi universities and colleges and more than 300 advanced scientific innovations in the field of engineering, medical sciences, laboratories, agriculture, lasers, space sciences and others.
The exhibition was held in the presence of His Excellency the minister of youth and sports Adnan Dirjal accompanied by the ministers of health, labor, social affairs, industry & minerals and a number of representatives of the private sector such as businessmen and investors during which the innovations of young students from Iraqi universities were presented. The college of engineering has contributed in this event with three scientific research papers; the first one was submitted by the Lecturer Dr. Hussein Jabbar Kazim and Assist. Lecturer Faiq Kazim Obeid from the department of environmental engineering entitled (Using the internet of things in air quality control as well as in determining the quality of water suitable for drinking), while the Lecturer Dr. Muayyad Mohammed Aidan from the department of mechanical engineering entitled (Accurate automatic identification of shock response measurement points for medium speed) who presented models in addition to providing a detailed explanation of the devices manufactured. His Excellency the minister of youth and sports Adnan Dirjal minister for his part praised the products of young people and their scientific innovations, pointing out that the exhibition achieved its objectives in encouraging and supporting the young Iraqi creative innovators by providing this opportunity to present innovations in such academic events to invest them on the ground. The minister of industry and minerals Manhal Aziz al-Khabaz also praised all the scientific innovations of Iraqi universities, particularly medical, engineering & alternative energy innovations and how to develop them.
