Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad, accompanied by his assistant for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad al-Ansari, as well as the dean of the Postgraduate Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies, Prof. Dr. Fayhaa Abdullah Yacoub visited the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq Mustafa Ghaleb with the aim to discuss the reality of the higher education in Iraq and the prospects for development, which is one of its important engines.
Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed during this meeting that the university has harnessed all its scientific and practical potential to serve the labor market and to promote the economic reality through its studies and research dedicated to the financial sector so as to improve the monetary policy in the country, which inevitably contributes to economic growth, rising revenues and thus increasing the national income. The rector of the University of Baghdad also praised and appreciated the support provided by the Central Bank and the Iraqi Private Banks League to the university through sponsoring its events, where he dedicated a letter of thanks and appreciation to the Governor of the Central Bank, as well as the university’s shield.
