In the presence of the assistant rector for administrative affairs at the University of Baghdad, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad Jaber, the department of media and public relations held an extensive meeting with the directors of media units at all university’s formations so as to discuss related matters and how to promote university’s media.
The meeting came up with a number of recommendations, including the obligation of the deans of colleges, research institutes and service centers to provide requirements to improve the reality of staff of the media units through the allocation of funds for the purchase of some equipment such as modern digital cameras, as well as the need to provide this department through making video clips dealing with various topics about the reality of colleges and formations in general. Mr. Ibrahim Khalaf Jassim, the director of the department of media and public relations at the presidency of the University of Baghdad also stressed during his speech the importance of enrolling all employees of media units in extensive courses to develop their skills in various fields via coordination with Iraqi satellite channels and the colleges of fine arts and media to improve the educational reality of our prestigious university.
