A delegation representing the college of applied sciences at the University of Samarra has discussed recently the prospects for joint scientific and academic cooperation with the deanship of the college of science at the University of Baghdad and the possibility of signing an agreement of understanding and twinning between the two sides to promote the educational process in the country.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Kareem Abdul Razzaq, dean of the college of science welcomed his counterpart Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayser Saleh Mohammed and the delegation and talked about the academic history of the college’s departments, curricula, the nature of the study and openness to international educational and research institutions for the sake of exchanging experiences and promoting cooperation at various research and scientific levels. It is noteworthy that the meeting was attended by the assistants dean for scientific and administrative affairs, head of the department of chemistry to address matters related to joint preparation for the provisions of a twinning program and agreement after obtaining needed approvals, including supervision on postgraduate studies by the two parties, enhancing the Iraqi scholars’ knowledge and skills, reviewing sober scientific research published by the journals of the two colleges in addition to various matters of common interest.
