Lecture on the foundations and skills of media monitoring and content analysis at the college of media

The department of journalism at the college of media has organized a scientific lecture on the foundations and skills of media monitoring and content analysis, delivered by some doctoral students of media monitoring under the supervision of the head of department of journalism, Prof. Dr. Siham Hassan al-Shujairi. The aim of the lecture was to identify the concept of media monitoring, its foundations and skills, as well as its relationship to content analysis, the way to access the monitored material, interpretation, evaluation and how to distinguish between real and fake news. The lecturers included monitoring programs and publication of breaking news in Aletejah Iraqi TV Channel to learn about their content and suitability with the media work environment and the methods used to deal with issues in this institution.
