The center for strategic and international studies at the University of Baghdad has organized a scientific symposium entitled “Readings on the future of the political process in Iraq between the government of the national majority and the consensus government” in the participation of a number of researchers who submitted various research papers related to this topic.

Prof. Dr. Amer Hassan Fayadh, dean of Alamaal University College in Baghdad and an expert on Iraqi political affairs delivered a lecture in which he warned against the concept of deep non-state, while Dr. Ali Drewil al-Jubouri presented a paper on the political opposition in the new government formation, also a study by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adnan al-Mayali from the college of political sciences, who discussed whether to resort to the government of national majority or that of political consensus. The symposium was concluded with a paper submitted by Dr. Ayman Ahmed Mohammed al-Shammari, a faculty member at the center who talked about the challenges facing the formation of the government of the national majority in Iraq.
