The Baghdad Documentation Department at the center for the revival of Arab scientific heritage has organized recently a workshop entitled “Community Security” in cooperation with the Department of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Interior.

The lecture was delivered by the Major General Dr. Saad Maan Ibrahim, who talked about the concept of community security, as an attempt to create a cooperative partnership between the ministry of interior and the citizens so as to ensure a sustainable security environment and to enhance this culture towards sharing the common responsibility and a sense of reassurance when visiting a ministry or a state department. He added that the community security is an investment via tourism and it is addressing cases of begging, displacement, electronic extortion and drugs, stressing that community security now reveals crimes and applies the law through the legislation of the Penal Code such as the punishment of assault on teaching staff, stating that 2003 is a transitional phase for the Iraqi people through access to social networking sites and social media which led to many cases of cyberbullying.
