Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad hosted a training workshop on (how to prepare public government contracts) in the presence of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Wadood Taher Mohammed and the director of the department of legal affairs in the presidency of the University of Baghdad the lecturer Dr. Ali Jedia’. The workshop aimed to explain how to prepare and organize government contracts legally so as to protect the institution’ status, where several lectures were presented by Dr. Aser Sabri Ibrahim and the Prof. Ahmed Aswad al-Obaidi from the Government Contracts Department at the ministry of planning who gave a detailed explanation of the framework of contracts as directed and specified by regulations attached and dealt with the general foundations of government contracts and how to develop appropriate solutions when there is a contractual or a legal problem, as well as indicating the most important legislation governing or regulating such government contracts.
