A group of professors and postgraduate students at the department of architecture at the college of engineering have lately participated in a scientific collaborative symposium with the participation of lecturers from the departments of architecture at the BTU Cottbus University in Germany and the University of Sulaimani, where they discussed how to use a specialized method for reviving and revitalizing the effectiveness of the city’s urban spaces by relying on self-financing, local grants in the implementation of innovative designs. It is noteworthy that Dr. Dergham al-Obaidi, head of the department, has participated in this event, as well as Dr. Sally Khalaf, Nisreen Razzaq, Zainab Khaled, Fawzia Rahim Hussein and Fariq Tawfiq, as well as a number of postgraduate students, including Maysa Ziraa, Amnaa Basim, Manaf Fouad, Nour Hadi Hassan, Asmaa Sadiq, Zakaria Osama, Rasha Jamil, Haidar Lotfi and Mohammed Nouri.
