The University of Baghdad, represented by its rector, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, congratulates our people and our valiant and heroic army in celebration of its 101st anniversary day, offering the warmest and sincere congratulations to the members of the armed forces in all its ranks and soldiers in this day. Dr. Munir al-Saadi stressed that celebrating this occasion is a sacred duty for all Iraqis, in which we glorify the sacrifices of our heroic martyrs who dedicated their souls to this land in order to preserve national identity and honor throughout the ages, adding that the January 6 is the day of loyalty to the military establishment and its heroic sons. On this national occasion, we ask God almighty to sustain our country and our army with joys and victories, and to enjoy our great Iraqi people with safety, mercy and to give immortality to our righteous martyrs. Every year the army is a wall for the homeland.
