The University of Baghdad represented by its rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad, held a mourning vigil for the spirit of its distinguished scientist and assistant rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul kareem Al-Sammarraie, who died lately due to a terminal illness. The vigil included reading Surah Al-Fatihah as well as prayers were said to his soul, in the presence of deans of colleges, heads of departments and staff of the university’s presidency. The University of Baghdad extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, asking God almighty to rest his soul in peace and to inspire patience to his relatives.
“Surely we belong to God and to Him we shall return”.
