The council of the college of engineering, headed by the dean of the college Prof. Dr. Saba Jabbar Neima, has hosted a group of students from the department of petroleum engineering to review their experience during the summer training in some foreign companies. The presentation was initiated by the student Mohammed Abdul Karim Wahid, who provided a brief explanation about the summer training they conducted through a cooperation mechanism with international oil companies, then the student Mohammed Hashim Abdul Rahman, described his work and trained at Schlumberger company in Basra, where he talked about the method used by such sober companies to select students for training, as well as a brief explanation of the history of the company.

On the other hand, the student Mohammed Mahmoud Karim reviewed the system in place of Schlumberger Limited Oilfield Services Company related to health, safety and environment and how to maintain the safety of workers in this industry. Also Hinda Riad Khalaf a thorough explanation of the training for each department in the company. Hussein Ali Jodi, a student who trained at Halliburton Company in Basra, provided an explanation of the training, safety instructions and lectures in English delivered by qualified engineers there. Finally the student Zakaria Makki Hani, described his experience at the Arab Wells Company and gave a full explanation of the lectures that they received during their visit to the oil fields in Kirkuk. At the end of the presentation, the students thanked the college’s council for providing them this opportunity, which is an incentive for them and their colleagues to provide the best.
