Prof. Dr. Raghad Hassan Ali al-Sarraj, a faculty member at the college of Islamic sciences has participated in a workshop entitled “Islamic commercial profits in accordance with Sharia” with the aim to show that the evidence of the Islamic law is not limited to the Holy Quran and the prophetic Sunnah, but there are many other evidences called dependency evidence that takes its legitimacy from the Quran and Sunnah, such as measurement, interest, approval, custom, sayings of the good followers  and others, and then showed that the bank should look for works that generate profits, as a banking institution founded to serve people in legitimate ways. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Raghad al-Sarraj is the head of the Shariah Authority at Asia Al-Iraq Islamic Bank.
