Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad and a number of members of the university’s council visited the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Dr. Hamid Naeem Al-Ghazi to discuss some issues that serve the scientific and research process in the Iraqi universities. The Secretary-General confirmed during his speech that the University of Baghdad is one of the sober educational institutions in the country and that it has distinguished academic capabilities that provided services and expertise for government and private institutions in various fields, along with its promising energies and competencies, so it deserves all kinds of support and concern.
Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi expressed the readiness of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to coordinate the effort with the sectoral authorities so as to identify and allocate the lands on which the colleges and institutes are built and he directed to hold a meeting with a number of related committees from the ministries of finance, reconstruction, housing, public works and municipalities for the purpose of resolving this important issue. For his part, the rector of the University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi praised the efforts of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and its continued support for the Iraqi universities in particular, and the educational sector in Iraq for the sake of promoting and developing their educational reality.
