Prof. Dr. Fadhil Abdul Amir Sharif, a faculty member from the department of Arabic language at the college of Islamic sciences has published a research paper entitled “The language of the opposite between reality and facing the challenges of globalization and technology” in the Journal of Linguistic Studies and Translation (Issue 34 of 2021). Dr. Fadhil Abdul Amir stated in this study his beliefs that the Arab nation faces great challenges seeking to distort its identity and even melt it by depending on others and this phenomenon is very vivid in the state of globalization represented by media in all its joints and the duality of the colloquial and classical language. He stressed the need to mobilize the Arab nation in general and the Islamic nation in particular towards facing these challenges by reformulating cultural and development policy, preservation of the Arabic language which is a cultural and a religious duty and a constitutional right that requires to adopt a clear-cut linguistic policy in all educational and media institutions in the country in accordance with comprehensive scientific planning.
