Dr. Fawaz Dawood al-Aswad, professor of oral diagnosis at the college of dentistry at the University of Baghdad, has recently participated with the doctoral student Haidar Mahdi Aidan in a global academic conference of (TC white conference 2021) at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow in UK. They presented a research paper and a digital poster entitled “Determination of the condyle position and measurement of joint space by CBCT in patients with disk displacemnt compared with healthy control group”. The research addressed the use of CT scans of patients with temporal joint problems compared with a group of healthy people by the use of certain measurements in order to locate (condyle) as well as using a certain method to measure the blanks that form as a result of the movement of the disc in different directions as well as comparing it with the cases of healthy people in order to decide whether such measurements can be used to diagnose patients who suffer from problems with the temporal joint.
