The Committee for Community Coexistence and Peace at the college of dentistry has organized a symposium entitled “The values of citizenship, tolerance and coexistence” delivered by the faculty member at the Basic Sciences Branch, the lecturer Zainab Ghalib who defined the concept of citizenship and its most important values represented by equality and freedom and the need to enhance the individual & social awareness in the community of the values of citizenship to promote the process of education and social justice. Then she talked about tolerance as being the highest moral value contrary to prejudice and it is a religious value linked to the concepts of fraternity and love that should be adopted by people of any nation as the fundamental step in the fight against extremism, adding that tolerance is the effective medicine to eliminate sectarianism.
