Lecture on the emergence of media monitoring goals and features at the college of media

The department of journalism at the college of media has sponsored a scientific lecture that dealt with (the emergence of media monitoring goals, functions and features) delivered by the head of department Dr. Siham al-Shijiri with the participation of doctoral students. The aim of the lecture was to highlight the emergence and development of media monitoring, the concept of monitoring, its functions, scientific practices and its scientific features in particular. The lecturer explained the importance of media in documenting and analyzing the contents of public opinion in any nation while stressing the importance of accuracy, objectivity and credibility when presenting real events without any distortion and how to avoid repeated words in reports and providing evidence when covering and monitoring various events by mass media.
