Assist. lecturer Mohammed Abdul Karim Munir, a faculty member at the computer center has recently delivered a lecture in a course sponsored by the center for the revival of Arab scientific heritage under the slogan (Cybercrime and digital drugs) in which he discussed the (Use of artificial intelligence in the detection of cybercrime and digital drugs).

At first he talked about the concept of cybercrime, its types and how to protect individuals from being victims of criminals and hackers by clarifying the reasons driving cybercrime that may result in addiction and its impact on people and the community as a whole, in addition to addressing the factors that help the spread of this phenomenon among members of society and focusing on preventive measures in reducing it. Then the lecturer dealt with the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) in relation with deep learning and machine learning and the difference between them, using the most important convolutional neural networks (CNN) as well as the role of artificial intelligence in reducing such online crimes. The lecture witnessed several discussions and inquiries with the lecturer in a wide range of subjects and factors related to this critical phenomenon.
