The college of physical education and sports sciences for women at the University of Baghdad has participated in the 7th International Scientific Conference on Sports Sciences, organized by the department of physical education and sports sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University College in cooperation with a number of Iraqi and Arab corresponding colleges, under the slogan (Sports sciences as the foundation of sports achievement).

The head with the branch of theoretical sciences, Prof. Dr. Luma Samir presented a research paper entitled “The impact of helicopter card strategy in reducing cognitive failure and learning the skill of receiving volleyball for women”, as well as the Assist. Prof. Dr. Abeer Dakhil and Assist. Prof. Dr. Maysa Nadim who talked about a joint research entitled “The relationship of future anxiety to the level of academic ambition among students”, while Prof. Dr. Suhad Qassim presented a research paper entitled “The impact of two training approaches using wet and dry sand to develop special strength and some functional abilities of volleyball players). The conference discussed several topics, the most important of which is sports training and its modern programs, the sciences of movement between theory and application, patents in the field of sports, biomechanical applications to serve sports performance, sports with special needs, management and sports media, educational and psychological sciences to serve sports achievement, school sports as the basis of sports construction, school sports, as well as rehabilitation programs and sports medicine, in addition to discussing any patents in this regard between reality and ambition that are conducted in cooperation with the tennis branch at the Iraqi Scientific Sports Association.
