Assist. Prof. Dr. Safaa Abdullah Burhan, a faculty member at the department of Arabic language specialized in the Andalusian literature has contributed with a team of professors from Iraqi and Algerian universities in authoring a book entitled (Stations in the history and civilization of Al-Andalus) that is published by Al-Asala Publishing Company in Algeria. Dr. Burhan’s participation was represented by his research paper entitled (The imagology of cruelty and monks on the Journey of Afoukay), in which he showed the link between the Andalusian Morisco and other cultures, including the interaction with the European nation, such as the awareness of the Andalusian nation of the importance of intellectual communication with other people in a way that was very vivid through the ” imagology ” term that is a branch of comparative literature, concerned with the study of cross-national perceptions and images as expressed in literary discourse. It is worth mentioning this significant book is dedicated to the spirit of the Sheikh of Andalusian historians Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman al-Hajji who died early this year and one of the founders of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and who had many works, some of which are being studied in a number of Arab universities.
