Rector of the University of Baghdad attends a memorial service on the departure of Dr. Qassim Mohammed al-Khaqani

Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad attended a memorial service on the departure of the dean of the college of physical education and sports sciences, Prof. Dr. Qassim Mohammed Hassan al-Khaqani, who died of a terminal illness. The rector offered his deepest condolences to the family, relatives and loved ones of the deceased and prayed that God may inspire them with patience, stating that the departure this prestigious academic and sports figure represents a major loss in the march of higher education and sports in Iraq. It is noteworthy that this event was attended by the assistant rector for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Marwan Abdul Hameed Ashour, the assistant rector for administrative affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad al-Ansari, as well as a number of deans of faculties and heads of departments.
