Professor from the college of education for pure sciences authors a book on the solid state of matter and its applications

Prof. Dr. Wadad Hamdi Jassim, a faculty member from the department of physics at the college of education for pure & applied sciences (Ibn al-Haitham) has authored a book this year entitled (A modern vision on the physics of solid state and its applications). The book started with an introduction in which she discussed the requirements of the times and put forward the information intensively in this regard for the postgraduate students, including seven chapters that deal with the crystalline state, X-ray diffraction, crystalline bonding, network vibration, qualitative thermal amplitude, crystalline defects and finally an explanation of semiconductors and their use in everyday life.
