The college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has organized an online workshop entitled “Career in drug discovery research” delivered by the Assist. Lecturer Sahar Mohammed Shaker from the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch via Zoom platform.
The lecturer discussed professional success in the pharmaceutical research field which depends on comprehensive knowledge in this sector and on the smart strategy used for functional application where many companies hire individuals through their training programs and where the greatest developments can be achieved only if the medical specialties meet in a continuous series that may include all the steps necessary to create a new drug treatment, adding that perhaps the most attractive aspect is the ability to choose the field of specialization in the discovery and development of medicines while maintaining a broad perspective of multiple functional options. In conclusion, the Assist. Lecturer Sahar Mohammed talked about jobs in the pharmaceutical sector in general that may be established in centers near international universities with a research orientation, so that graduates can be available in such places for employment purposes where vacancies are filled on time.
