The college of physical education and sports sciences for women at the University of Baghdad has organized a seminar entitled “Trainings on the plank exercises” delivered by the master’s student Rana Qasim Adnan to discuss this form of core strengthening exercise that strengthens the body muscles, maintain our posture, supporting the spine and where some types of planks help increase our endurance.

The lecturer confirmed that there are stationary planks as well as power-packed moving planks to develop the strength and balance of the body and studied its impact on some of the composite offensive skills of female handball players. The participants in this event also discussed some fitness procedures that depend on body weight, also shedding light on some specific exercises designed for pregnant women that are very useful and effective for building stronger body muscles, because of its ability and effectiveness to strengthen all the basic muscles, as well as its effectiveness in enhancing balance & body movement.
