The University of Baghdad, represented by its rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, has concluded recently a memorandum of joint scientific cooperation with the University of Al-Ameed in Najaf, represented by its rector, Prof. Dr. Muayad Omran al-Ghazali so as to strengthen the frameworks of joint coordination between the two sides and to exchange scientific and research expertise in various fields.
The two parties discussed the prospects of activating and developing scientific and administrative cooperation to enhance their academic level in the fields of training students, professional development and the online dissemination of research. The terms of memorandum also included the establishment of joint conferences, seminars, academic and cultural events between the two universities and the need for opening broad horizons, as well as conducting applied research which are very rare in Iraq due to their high costs, in addition to the development of qualitative programs, academic and laboratory accreditation and electronic documentation.
