Professors from the center for international studies participate in a virtual symposium on the Iraqi elections in Turkey

A number of researchers from the center for strategic and international studies at the University of Baghdad have participated in a virtual symposium sponsored by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM) in Turkey. The symposium witnessed discussions on the preliminary reading of the procedures and dimensions of the early legislative elections of 2021, which took place on October 10. In their interventions, the speakers addressed the reality of the current elections and the new electoral law No. 9 of 2020, adopted this year and the impact of the October 2019 protests on the conduct of the electoral process and the reading of the post-election political landscape, as well as the influence of mass media on the formation of electoral awareness of people and the voter trends in this regard.
