The college of pharmacy at the University of Baghdad has organized recently an electronic workshop entitled “The culture of the civil society” delivered by the faculty member at the college of political sciences, the lecturer Dr. Anwar Saeed al-Haidari via Zoom platform. The lecturer reviewed the concept of civil society, its emergence and the development of civil society organizations and their role in the development of our country’s reality. The workshop also talked about the role of the individual and the possibility of working within more than one field in such civil organizations according to his/her interests and orientations towards supporting their mission. At the conclusion of the workshop, the participants discussed the role of the Syndicate of Iraqi Pharmacists in educating citizens and increasing awareness about prevention in light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the need for receiving vaccines, besides other topics related to the pharmacy as a well-rounded profession that may concern the Iraqi people.
