The department of dormitories at the University of Baghdad has set recently a water filtering station at the college of veterinary medicine to provide 1,000 litres of clean drinking water per hour for the residents. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the director of the dormitories stated in this regard that this initiative is the first of its kind at our university in order to enhance the services supplied there on the sidelines of the reconstruction and rehabilitation projects planned by the directorate of the dormitories previously to improve the reality of the student housing complexes at the onset of the admission of new undergraduate and postgraduate students and after the previous negligence of the on-campus housing departments.
