The council of the University of Baghdad held its 4th session at the college of veterinary medicine, chaired by the rector Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi and the membership of his assistants for administrative & scientific affairs, the council secretary, members and deans of faculties, postgraduate institutes and research centers.
At the onset of the rector talked about his visit to the Belarusian State University in Minsk, the capital of Belarus and reviewed the stages of development witnessed there at the scientific and urban levels, as well as his visit to its Astronomical Observatory and Satellite Laboratories, in order to transfer its experience to our university, also he praised the reconstruction campaign undertaken at the college of veterinary medicine in Abu Ghraib, in terms of the rehabilitation of classrooms and infrastructure by self-efforts. Then he directed to prepare for the launch of the next scientific output exhibition through paying attention to scientific research published in international repositories in coordination with other university’s faculties. On the sidelines of the agenda, the university council discussed the guidelines of the ministry of higher education and scientific research by adopting the Human Resources System (HRS) and the need for the accreditation of our academic journals in international rankings. At the conclusion of their meeting, the council discussed the procedures adopted in the rehabilitation of the dormitories at the start of the current academic year.
