Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has met the rector of the Belarusian State University in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on the sidelines of his recent visit to the Republic of Belarus. During their talks, Dr. Munir al-Saadi gave a detailed explanation of the faculties of our university in various disciplines, as well as its postgraduate institutes and research centers. Also he made a tour to the classrooms, outdoor courtyards, laboratories and the satellite center at the Belarusian State University and addressed the prospects of mutual academic cooperation between the two sides to strengthen the bonds of coordination in the fields of teaching, scientific research, as well as to participate in online postgraduate exams.
For his part, the rector of the Belarusian State University indicated that the university includes various humanities, pure and applied departments and that they are now focusing on the applications of mathematics at length, in addition to preparing for the launch of the second version of the Belarusian educational satellite. It is noteworthy that this meeting was attended by the Horary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Baghdad Mr. Majid Al-Qaysi who has been supporting many educational and cultural activities.
