The University of Baghdad has achieved recently a new scientific progress after getting an important competitive position in the last version of the best global universities ranking 2022 issued by the U.S. News & World Report, where it was ranked in the 1399th position out of (1750) global academic institutions from 90 countries across the world based on the following indicators: global research reputation (12.5%), regional research reputation (12.5%), publications (10%), books (2.5%), conferences (2.5%) and the total citations (10%). It is noteworthy that in this ranking our university has competed with other Asian universities of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, UAE, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and it appeared in the (435) position out of (827) Asian universities.
