Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has recently presided over an extensive meeting with the directors of the departments of dormitories, internal control, financial, legal and reconstruction affairs to address all matters related to the latest preparations for receiving the undergraduate and postgraduate students in conjunction with the onset of the current academic year.

The rector proposed many paragraphs to be annexed to the proposed plan so as to improve the reality of student housing complexes that have been neglected for years as well as to improve them in light of the increasing momentum. Also Dr. Munir al-Saadi praised the management of the internal departments at the University of Baghdad and urged for the continuous follow-up of procedures of work in order to maintain the residences as soon as possible and at the lowest cost. For his part, Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan, the director of the dormitories reviewed during his speech the past maintenance campaigns undertaken and the action plans that would be adopted during the next three months in addition to the supplies required to sustain work and to accommodate (4000) students in 8 residential complexes.
