Prof. Dr. Talal Khalifa Salman al-Obaidi, a faculty member at the college of education for women has delivered a lecture entitled “The philosophy of reform in the thought of Imam Hussein (PBUH) at the memorial ceremony on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) held under the auspices and presence of the rector of the Middle Technical University, deans and professors.
The lecturer dealt with such an important topic that is focusing on the desire to achieve an absolute reform towards changing the ruling system at his era in alignment with showing respect to all religious, ideological, social, moral, economic and intellectual beliefs, as well as exposing the subversive policies practiced by Yazid ibn Mu’awiya, and finally shedding light on the sacrifices of Imam Hussein, his family & companions (PBUT) in this regard. At the conclusion of this event, Dr. Talal al-Obaidi was awarded with the university’s shield, a book of thanks and appreciation, a certificate of appreciation by the rector of the Middle Technical University in honor of his fruitful efforts.
