Professor Dr. Muwafaq al-Musleh, dean of the college of languages at the University of Baghdad has received recently His Excellency the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Ali Riza Guney and his delegation to exchange visions with the faculty staff of the Turkish language department on the ways to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation by the two sides.
They also discussed the possibility of establishing development and training courses in linguistics and literature for the lecturers and students. For his part, the head of the department of Turkish language confirmed his readiness to conclude memorandums of understanding with the Turkish side so as to refine the expertise of faculty members through cultural exchange between the two countries. It is noteworthy that the rector of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, has addressed the need to open up to foreign universities around the world in order to benefit from cross cultures as well as to enhance our university’s global ranking.
