At the onset of the new academic year, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has visited the college of engineering, accompanied by the assistant rector for administrative affairs the Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad al-Ansari and the assistant rector for scientific affairs the Prof. Dr. Abdul kareem Mohammed Al-Sammarraie. The rector also met a number of faculty members and students, urging them to abide by the official work, in conjunction with the resumption of study as well as to attend virtual lectures as required, in commitment to the directives of the ministry of higher education and scientific research.

Dr. Munir al-Saadi recommended that the university students should be all vaccinated to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic and directed that the vaccination card must be provided before entering the campus. It is noteworthy that the rector and his assistants also inspected the scientific departments at the college and followed-up all the logistical and technical preparations for the start of the undergraduate and postgraduate studies in terms of sterilization of classrooms and social distancing measures.
