Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad has inspected recently Al-Salam Student Housing Complex at Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad, accompanied by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sarmad Fouad, the assistant rector for administrative affairs and the director of dormitories, Prof. Dr. Omar Faleh Hassan. The rector was briefed on the mechanisms adopted for the rehabilitation of student apartments and all the technical and engineering works made to prepare residences for our dear students in conjunction with the start of the academic year next week.

Then Dr. Munir al-Saadi and his delegation visited the al-Wihda Student Housing Complex in Bab Al-Moatham to follow-up the progress of the construction of its buildings and halls that has initiated some time ago, praising the efforts made by the members of the housing and engineering divisions so as to receive undergraduate and postgraduate students in the near future and to create an appropriate atmosphere for study, pointing out that all needed electrical appliances were equipped there and that the university continues to coordinate with the electricity distribution directorates to ensure that all residences are always equipped with electric power. During his speech, Dr. Munir al-Saadi praised the efforts made by Dr. Sarmad Fouad who was the former director of the Diwan Affairs Department in the rehabilitation of the dormitories, in addition to the distinctive management and the technical vision of Dr. Omar Faleh. It is noteworthy that the rector of the University of Baghdad has confirmed that there should be periodic visits to inspect the reconstruction process carrying out in all student complexes during the first semester of the new academic year (2021-2022).
