According to Scopus Elsevier’s abstract and citation database, the University of Baghdad has gained the 1st place locally for publishing 16239 research papers until October 2, 2021 and thus it has surpassed the Mustansiriyah University that has published (5734) researches and the University of Babylon that published (5644) researches as well as the University of Technology that has published (5601) research papers.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid al-Saadi, rector of the University of Baghdad expressed his gratitude for this new academic achievement and praised all the efforts exerted by scholars so as to promote the ranking of our prestigious institution at the regional and international levels, confirming his confidence in the professors of the University of Baghdad who have gained the first place locally in Nature Index this month for publishing 7 researches n various disciplines, hoping to achieve more progress in the service of the educational and scientific mission in the country.
