Assist. Lecturer Aida Mustafa Salman, The Secretary General of the central library at the University of Baghdad chaired a meeting with heads of divisions and units with the aim to discuss a number of important topics, including the need to speed up receiving Covid-19 vaccines in commitment to the directives of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and the university’s presidency, otherwise the staff would be regarded as absent if they do not bring a vaccine card or a negative PCR test result weekly for those who were infected within the previous three months according to medical reports from the competent medical committees.

The Secretary-General also stressed paying attention to hygiene tips as well as periodic sterilization of units and halls to reduce the spread of viruses for the common good, also recommended the dissemination of awareness among the employees of the central library to build a strong sense of team spirit to avoid fires and disasters and urged all employees to ensure unplugging all electrical appliances daily before leaving the library in addition to applying other precautionary measures.
