The Institute of Genetic Engineering and Bio-Technologies for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad organized a training course on (DNA extraction from semen) through the FCC platform and delivered by the lecturer Dr. Sanaa Jassim Kazim and Assist. Lecturer Haidar Mazin Rasool, in the presence of a number of researchers and those interested in various scientific disciplines.

The course aimed to introduce the DNA extraction technique by first selecting a sample, then conducting a qualitative and quantitative analysis. The lecturers clarified how to use this extracted material in many applications, which aim to detect diseases that lead to infertility in men, such as the instantaneous polymerization technology by detecting genetic models that can be an important factor in infertility. It is noteworthy that the Institute of genetic engineering is keen to sponsor many scientific activities online for its members and for the public since the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in alignment with the directives of the ministry of higher education and scientific research and the presidency of the University of Baghdad.
